Build it
Add the legs one by one: a spread, a straddle, an iron condor or your own structure. Before you place it, you see the payoff at expiry and the margin your broker asks for the whole basket.
How it goes in
- Buy legs are sent first.
- Sell legs follow only when every buy leg is fully filled, so the hedge is in place before the risk is.
- If a leg is refused, the legs already filled are sent for closing automatically, to avoid leaving half a hedge open.
How it comes out
One tap exits the basket: sold legs are bought back first, then bought legs are sold.
Good to know
Baskets are entered and exited as a whole, so per-trade rules such as trailing, targets and locks do not apply to basket legs. The payoff shown is a calculation at expiry, not a prediction, and real fills can differ.
