Protect a whole basket, not just one leg

Set a max loss and a max profit for a whole basket, and let a profit lock follow the gains up. ConnectBridge adds up every leg, all session, and sends every open leg for closing when a limit is reached — on baskets you place yourself and on the RA baskets and Alpha Spreads you follow.

What happened, step by step

Hypothetical illustration on made-up prices, not a prediction and not advice. A limit has to be seen on two separate checks; then every open leg is sent for closing at market, sold legs bought back first. An exit can fill worse than the limit, late or not at all — prices can gap, as "Gap through the limit" shows — and a basket closed by a limit can miss a later recovery. Protection needs a current price for every leg and an open market.

    The engine

Every round, every open position meets every rule

A price moves. The engine walks the whole rulebook: targets, locks, the stoploss stack, your trade limit, the day governor and the session gates. Then it decides whether an order goes to your broker. Here is one session, round by round.

Which of up to six stoploss levels is the tightest right now: fixed, breakeven, trailing, giveback, a target lock, or your Research Analyst's stoploss?
Has this position reached Target 2, how much quantity is left, and which lock applies to it?
Is trailing awake yet, from which price, and in which style?
Has today's total loss reached the limit, or has the day's profit floor moved up?
Is the kill switch on? Is there room for another position, and another order today?
Is it past your square-off time, and is today's session on at all?
Is this an F&O or an equity order, and does that segment have its own profile?
Should the exit go as market or limit, and has the market walked away from a limit?

      Tightest wins, always one level

However many rules are on, a position has one stoploss: the tightest. Rules only ever move it closer to the price, never further away.

      Long and short, mirrored

Every rule turns itself around for a short position: the stoploss sits above the price and moves down.

Position and day, side by side

One position can be trailing while the whole day is checked against your loss limit and your profit floor.

      Gates before every entry

Kill switch, open-position and order limits, square-off time and a day already ended: checked before any new entry. Exits stay allowed.

      Session-scoped

Nothing runs unless you start today's session, and the session ends on its own every night.

      One rulebook, every connected broker

The same Risk Profile applies whichever of the supported brokers your account is connected to.

      Good to know

What the Risk Profile is, and what it is not

Off until you switch it on

Every protection is off by default. You choose every rule and every number, and you can change or switch off any of them at any time.

      Fills can differ

An exit is an order sent to your broker. In fast or gapping markets, during halts, or if software, networks, brokers or exchanges fail, it can fill at a worse price, late or not at all. Losses can exceed the limits you set.

      Rules cut both ways

A rule can close a trade that later recovers, and booking at a target can leave upside on the table. The Risk Lab shows days where the rules finish behind as well as ahead.

      Baskets are managed as one

Strategy Baskets are entered and exited as a whole basket, so per-trade rules such as trailing, targets and locks do not apply to basket legs. Basket protection watches the whole basket instead: a max loss, a max profit and a profit lock.

      Not advice

The Risk Profile applies the rules you choose. ConnectBridge does not tell you what to trade or which settings to use, and promises no returns.

      Keep an eye on positions

Technology can fail or slow down. Keep watching your positions, and keep your own stoploss with your broker where you need one.

Does the Risk Profile guarantee my stoploss price?

No. Every exit is an order sent to your broker. In a fast or gapping market, during a halt, or if software, networks, brokers or exchanges fail, it can fill at a worse price, late, or not at all. The rules decide when an exit is sent; the market decides the price it fills at.

Is anything switched on by default?

No. Every protection is off until you switch it on, and you can change or switch off any rule at any time.

What happens when several rules apply at once?

The tightest level wins. Breakeven, trailing, giveback and the target locks can only move a stoploss closer to the price. None of them can move it further away.

Does it work for short trades?

Yes. Every rule mirrors itself for a short position: the stoploss sits above the price and moves down.

      Which orders does it cover?

Research recommendations you follow and the orders you place yourself from the order ticket. Strategy Baskets are entered and exited as one basket, so per-trade rules such as trailing, targets and locks do not apply to basket legs; Basket protection watches each whole basket instead.

What if my Risk Profile and a basket both have limits?

Both apply. The Risk Profile's basket rule watches every basket, and any basket you place can have its own max loss, max profit and profit lock. Whichever limit is reached first closes that basket. A limit has to be seen on two separate checks before anything is sent, and protection needs a current price for every leg and an open market.

Can F&O and equity have different rules?

Yes. There is one overall profile, plus an optional F&O profile and an optional equity profile. Leave a segment's sizing at 0 to keep using the overall settings for it.

      Is this investment advice?

No. The Risk Profile is a tool that applies the rules you choose. ConnectBridge does not tell you what to buy or sell, or which settings to use, and promises no returns.
